Happy Kids With Healthy Bodies

Gluten Free Hot Chocolate

A thick and delicious hot chocolate recipe, serves 4 in normal sized mugs. Float some homemade marshmallow!

2 tsp cornflour
1 litre milk (dairy, rice, soya)
200g dark chocolate (at least 70% cocoa), melted in the microwave
2 tbsp honey
1 tsp vanilla essence
Pinch of salt

1. Place the cornflour in a bowl and 100ml of milk and mix until smooth

2. Heat the remainder of the milk in a large sauce until almost boiling

3. Whisk in the melted chocolate, honey, salt and vanilla essence

4. When combined at the cornflour paste

5. Heat the mixture back to the boil, whisking frequently

6. Allow to cool slightly before serving


Top with marshmallows or whipped cream
